Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
What Is Stored
The extension saves the following in Safari's local extension storage, on your device only:
- Your settings — theme, layout, and which features are enabled
- Your subreddit filter list
- Timestamps used to highlight comments that are new since your last visit to a thread
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced, not backed up to us, and not shared.
What Is Not Collected
Enhancer for Reddit does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal information of any kind
- Your Reddit account, login, or credentials
- Your browsing or reading history
- Analytics, telemetry, or usage data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Advertising or tracking identifiers
No Developer Server
There is no Enhancer for Reddit server. Nothing you do in the extension reaches the developer, because there is nowhere for it to go.
Network Requests
The extension makes only the same requests your browser would make anyway while using Reddit:
- Reddit — loading additional pages of posts and comments as you scroll
- Embedded media — when you expand a link inline, the media loads from wherever the post already pointed, such as YouTube or RedGifs. Those services see the request as they would if you clicked the link yourself, and their own privacy policies apply.
Where It Runs
The extension is limited to Reddit — reddit.com and its subdomains, primarily old.reddit.com. It cannot read or act on any other site.
Children's Privacy
Enhancer for Reddit does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
