Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

The short version: Vapor Tracker has no server and no analytics. It talks to exactly one outside service — IsThereAnyDeal — using an API key you supply yourself, and only to look up prices for the Steam pages you are already looking at.

What Is Stored

Vapor Tracker stores two things in Safari's extension storage:

These are saved using Safari's synced extension storage, so if you have iCloud enabled they may sync between your own Apple devices through your iCloud account. They are never sent to the developer.

What Is Sent, and Where

When you view a Steam store page or your wishlist, the extension asks IsThereAnyDeal for price data. That request contains:

This means IsThereAnyDeal can see which Steam store pages you look up while the extension is enabled. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy. Requests are cached for an hour to keep the volume down.

What Is Not Collected

Vapor Tracker does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

No Developer Server

There is no Vapor Tracker server. Nothing you do in the extension reaches the developer, because there is nowhere for it to go — the only network requests it makes are to IsThereAnyDeal.

Where It Runs

The extension is limited to store.steampowered.com and steamcommunity.com. It cannot read or act on any other site.

Children's Privacy

Vapor Tracker does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
